lyrics

The room was small, enclosed
The casket it was her's
And the room was not a room at all
But a sepulchre

As I began to sing
The room began to shake
And her bones -- they cracked
As she sat where she did once lay

They say the dead can talk
Though there's some they cannot say
And if you ask too much,
They simply go away
I asked her how she'd been
And that I had to know:
Is there life after this?
She told me she had to go

I found her in my dreams
A soul not long had past
And we began to talk
So I began to ask
Her restlessness it grew
As I still did persist
And the last thing she said
As she laid down her head
Was this:

One day you'll know,
But today is not that day
You must be patient
And you must wait
To know
To know what lays past the grave

Then she closed her eyes
And for the second time,
She died
She took all that she knew
And all she learned back to
The other side.
